WCC Next Steps

Our Sin:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

God’s Response:

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

Our Response:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

Baptism:

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:4

Baptism is an outward symbol of our inward commitment to Christ.  Have questions or would like to sign up?  Go to: https://westmoore.church/baptism-dedication

How do we practically grow daily in our faith?

Reading Scripture:

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
2 Timothy 3:16

Free Resources:

Trusting in God’s Word:

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
Psalms 119:105

Prayer:

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

How to Pray:

Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and He with us.  Prayer can be audible or silent, private or public, formal or informal. It is important that we make praying an integral part of our life. While there are endless ways to connect with God throughout our day, here is an example many have used.  During our prayer time with Him it is helpful to remember the acronym ACTS.

A – Adoration (Love or Worship), praising God for who He is.
- Confession, telling Him everything we've done wrong & asking for His forgiveness.
- Thanksgiving, thanking Him for prayers answered, helping us in our daily lives etc.
S
 – Supplication (Request), asking God for daily needs.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:6

Listening:

God speaks to us in many ways through His Word, prayer, others, creation and even in our most difficult circumstances.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
John 10:27
